NOTICE:  Sauk County makes no warranties regarding the title or the status of any liens that may be against this property.  Properties will be “sold as is” condition.  The Tax Deed Foreclosure process has been followed as outlined in Chapter 75 of the Wisconsin State Statutes.

TERMS OF SALE: Bids must meet or exceed the appraised value listed for the parcel and be accompanied by a deposit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price. Only bank money orders or certified checks will be accepted. DO NOT SUBMIT CASH. Make check  payable to the “Sauk County Treasurer”.  Also include a separate $30.00 payment for recording fees made payable to the “Register of Deeds”.

Bids must be addressed “Sauk County Treasurer, 505 Broadway, Room #148, Baraboo, WI 53913” and be clearly marked “SEALED BID FOR TAX DELINQUENT PROPERTY” on the outside of the envelope.  No more than one bid may be submitted per parcel by any bidder.

Sauk County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The County Treasurer will notify the successful bidder and unsuccessful bidders by USPS or email. The successful bidder shall pay to the County Treasurer the remaining balance of their bid price or they shall forfeit their bid deposit. Upon full payment of the bid price by the successful bidders and approval of the bids by the Sauk County Board of Supervisors, conveyance of the title will be by Quit Claim Deed without abstract or title evidence. All deposits and recording fees submitted by unsuccessful bidders shall be returned in full.
