SAUK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

MEETING MINUTES

COMMITTEE: Aging & Disability Resource Center and Veterans Service Office Committee

DATE / TIME:  Wednesday, November 11th, 2020     4:00 P.M.

PLACE:              Virtual meeting

Members Present:  Bushweiler, Curry, Dorner, Polivka, Riek

Members Absent:   None

County Personnel:  Susan Blodgett, ADRC; Quinn Hause, ADRC; Stefka Zomer, ADRC; Tony Tyczynski, VSO; Sandy Deich, VSO;

Others Present:  None

Curry called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.

MOTION (Polivka/Dorner) to adopt the agenda.  Motion carried unanimously.

MOTION (Dorner/Polivka) to approve the meeting minutes from October 12^th, 2020.  Motion carried unanimously.

Public Comment:  None.

Communications:  None

Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office:

1. VSO departmental updates and service trends

2. Tyczynski discussed the outreach by VSO; He stated that VSO attended the Veteran’s Council meeting and VSO Association fall Training Conference. Discussion followed, No action taken.

3. Tyczynski discussed the current Veterans case trends –getting the exams done due to Covid has become a challenge. Discussion followed;

4. Tyczynski reviewed the year to date activity for his department. He presented to the board his monthly report. Discussion followed. No action taken

      b)  Tyczynski presented the monthly financial statements for his department.  Discussion Followed, No action taken

      c)  Consider approval of the Monthly Invoices – Tyczynski presented his monthly invoice report. Discussion followed.

      MOTION (Dorner/Bushweiler) to approve the monthly invoices for October 2020 in the amount of $ 919.51. Motion carried unanimously

Susan Blodgett, Aging & Disability Resource Center

a) Blodgett presented to the board her monthly report. She informed the board members that ADRC will hold a Public hearing on November 19^th, 2020 for transportation grant 85.21.   Our Nutrition program needs to be prepared for another COVID wave and in case we can’t receive meals from the HCC and ADRC already purchased two freezers to start saving meals for our frozen route. Discussion followed.

       b) Blodgett presented a report showing the write off expenditures from 2018. Discussion followed.

MOTION (Polivka/Curry) to write off expenditures from 2018 for the amount of $ 3, 355.19. Vote, all in favor.

B-c Blodgett presented the monthly financial statements and list of invoices for her department. Discussion followed.

MOTION (Polivka/Riek) to approve the October 2020 bills in the amount of $ 26, 927.31. Motion carried unanimously.

Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle County Board Update: Discussion followed. No action taken.

MOTION (Dorner/Bushweiler) to adjourn until Wednesday, December 7^th, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
