Due to the COVID-19 health emergency, this meeting will be conducted “In Person” and virtually or by phone. Attendance by supervisors appearing in-person will be limited to members of the Aging and Disability Resource Center & Veterans Service Office Committee. All other supervisors who wish to attend virtually or by phone must call or email the Aging and Disability office for an access link. If any member of the public needs to attend in person, they must first contact the ADRC at 608-355-3289. The public is strongly encouraged to attend on-line or by phone.

Due to the COVID-19 health emergency, this meeting was conducted “In Person” and virtually or by phone.
Susan Blodgett called the meeting to order at 12.58 p.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
Election of Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary of the Committee:
Chair: Riek nominated Curry; seconded by Polivka.
MOTION (Polivka/ Riek) to close nominations and vote to elect Curry as Chair. Motion carried unanimously and Curry presided over remainder of the meeting.
Vice-Chair: Dorner nominated Polivka; seconded by Riek.
MOTION (Riek/Dorner) to close nominations and vote to elect Dorner as Vice Chair. Motion carried unanimously.
Secretary: Polivka nominated Dorner; seconded by Riek.
MOTION (Curry/Polivka) to close nominations and vote to elect Dorner as Secretary. Motion carried unanimously.
MOTION (Riek/Polivka) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.
MOTION (Riek/Polivka) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting on March 11, 2020. Motion carried unanimously.

Tony Tyczynski, Veterans Service Office:

Tyczynski explained to the committee what the Veterans Service Office is and how we operate. He also explained what the Needy Veterans Funds is and the oversight with the 5 Veteran Commission. The Assistant CVSO Rick Erickson was introduced to the committee and shared about himself. Tyczynski introduces Sandy Deich to talk about the veterans fund and about the housing reports from January to the end of April 2020 last three pages in the packet. Tyczynski shared last year’s numbers 87 Homeless Veterans only 4 have not completed the program to work together for permeant housing. Discussion followed.

Tyczynski discussed the outreach by VSO;he attended in March the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 187. Discussion followed, No action taken.

Tyczynski discussed the current Veterans case trends are very time consuming. Discussion followed; no action taken.

c) Consider approval of the Monthly Invoices- Tyczynski presented to the board the monthly invoices for his department. Discussion followed.
MOTION (Dorner/Polivka) to approve the monthly invoices for April 2020 in the amount of $ 2,154.98. Motion carried unanimously
d) Sauk County Budget Projections for 2021- nothing to note at this time. Discussion followed. No action taken.

Blodgett explained to the committee what the ADRC is and how we operate.She presented Quinn Hause as Disability benefit Specialist who oversees the social workers and Marina Wittmann- Aging Coordinator at ADRC. She explained to the board how ADRC gets funds and that ADRC of Sauk County is part of the Regional ADRC together with four other counties. Discussion followed.

Blodgett presented the monthly report to the committee

Blodgett reported that ADRC had to makes some changes to the Nutrition and Transportation program due to COVID-19. ADRC no longer have daily hot meals, instead our clients are receiving frozen meals. ADRC also provided one time emergency food bags with shelf stable foods for our clients.Due to COVID- 19 ADRC postponed the weekly Shopping bus trips and Fun day trips. We are still transporting clients to medical appointments.Discussion followed. No action taken

Changes to OAA funding due to COVID-19- Blodgett stated that in 2020 we will see a lot of changes in our funding. ADRC will do the best to apply for additional funds if they are available. Discussion followed.

MOTION (Riek/Dorner) to approve the April 2020 bills in the amount of $ 33,493.48. Motion carried unanimously.

Aging & Disability Resource Center of Eagle County Board Update: Curry was elected to represent ADRC to the ADRC Regional Governing Board of Southwest Wisconsin-North regional board.
