Members Present: Carlson, Curry, Ellington (arrived 9:01 am), Rudolph, Spencer, Wolkowski, and Waddell
Members Absent: Whitsell (excused)

AGING & DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER ADVISORY COMMITTEE QUARTERLY MEETING:
1) Carlson called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. and compliance with the Open Meeting Law was verified.
2) MOTION (Spencer/Curry) to adopt the agenda. Motion carried unanimously and agenda adopted.
3) MOTION (Spencer/Curry) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of November 15, 2018 and February 26, 2019. Motion carried unanimously.
4) Public Comment: None
5) Possible Election Secretary of the Committee:
Secretary: Rudolph nominated Ellington and made a Motion to close nominations. Vote all in favor.
6) Dementia Live training presentation by Brianna Wipperfurth:
Our board members were part of the Dementia Live presentation. Two groups of 4 people had a chance to participate and share their experience with the committee. The training was very educational and gave an opportunity for each member to experience the live of the people with dementia. ADRC is holding a lot of presentation to schools, nursing homes, health care centers and etc. to increase the awareness of the people in our community. Discussion followed.
7) Communications: Blodgett referenced a personal Thank you letter from Everett B. who thank Jim Thering for his outstanding service.
8) Service Reports:
a) Nutrition:
1) Meals thru end of April, 2019: Blodgett reported on over 21,883 meals provided year-to-date thru May. Breakfast bags are delivered every 2 weeks.
2) Plans for Dining Sites in 2019: Blodgett reported that Spring Green Dining Site is closed; Reedsburg dining cite moved to a new location – Boys and Girls Club and we are going to have a grant opening on June 6, 2019. Discussion followed. No action taken.
b) Caregiver:
1) Number of scholarships given: Blodgett reported that this year we have funds for 12 scholarships and so far we already used 11 scholarships.
c) Evidence-based Classes for 2019:
1) Stepping On class is very popular. Since the beginning of the year we had 4 classes and 2 classes scheduled for the fall.
2) Powerful Tools for Caregivers class started on April 16, 2019 at Sauk Community Center.
b) Volunteer breakfast – On May 8, 2019 ADRC held our annual Volunteer Breakfast event. The event was very successful, former Governor Martin Schreiber was the guest speaker. Carlson compliment the people who put on the volunteer breakfast. Blodgett Thanked Brianna Wipperfurth for her great job, putting this event.
9) Blodgett presented the 2018 GWAAR Aging Unit Self-Assessment. Discussion followed.
MOTION (Spencer/Curry) to approve the 2018 GWAAR Aging Unit-Assessment. Vote all in favor.
10) Other ADRC updates: Covered under service reports above.
11) Next meeting date and time: Thursday, August 29, 2019 9:00a.m.
12) MOTION (Curry/Ellington) to adjourn until Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 9:00a.m. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
