Updates as of 5/19/2020

• For the most current and accurate information about COVID-19, head to the Wisconsin Department of Human Services website HERE or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention HERE. 
• The ADRC will re-open carry-out service at two sites starting the week of May 18 - Reedsburg Country Club and The Shed in Spring Green. Reservations must be made the day before. For specific information about carryout meals, go to our Nutrition Page HERE. 
• The ADRC will temporarily suspend daily Meals on Wheels beginning Monday April 13, 2020. Clients have been provided with 2 weeks worth of frozen/shelf-stable foods. The ADRC will provide additional frozen meals to clients on a weekly basis until daily meal delivery can resume.
• Social Security Alert! The Inspector General of Social Security is warning the public about fraudulent letters threatening Social Security benefits. The Social Security Administration will NOT suspend or discontinue benefits because their offices are closed. Find the full press release HERE. 
• FRAUD ALERT! Head to the Senior Medicare Patrol website for more information on the latest scams affecting older adults. Click HERE. 
• Online voter registration has been extended until March 30, 2020. Find more info HERE. 
• In a continued effort to limit the spread of Coronavirus, the Sauk County Courthouse, West Square Building and Reedsburg Human Services building will have limited access to the public starting Monday March 23, 2020. The public will be able to enter the building for essential services only after completing a fever screening process at the main entry door. The public is encouraged to call the department they need before coming to see what services are being offered. ADRC: (608)355-3289

• Medicare has expanded telehealth coverage and WILL cover the lab test for COVID-19. Find more info here.
• All ADRC outreach events are postponed until further notice. 
• All ADRC dining sites are closed. The following list includes ADRC dining sites that are closed: 
  • Sauk Prairie Community Center
  • Highpoint Commons in Baraboo
  • Frank Fischer Building in Lake Delton
  • Reedsburg Boys & Girls Club
  • Four Star Restaurant in Baraboo
  • Reedsburg Country Club
  • The Shed in Spring Green
• Home delivered meal clients who receive a daily hot meal should expect their meals to continue. Frozen and non-perishable meals are being delivered in the event that hot meals cannot be delivered. Again, hot meal delivery is expected to continue. 
• Taxi tickets should be purchased by calling the office and mailing in a check and form. No taxi tickets will be sold in-person at the ADRC office for the remainder of March, and all of April and May.
• AARP has canceled all remaining tax appointments.
• The ADRC Volunteer Breakfast in May has been canceled. Volunteers, please look for information coming in the mail. 
• The Stepping On workshop at the Spring Green Library is postponed. 
• The Stepping On Booster Session on May 12th at Oak Park Place is postponed.
• All ADRC - affiliated support groups are postponed. 
• The Dementia-Live event scheduled at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center on April 17th has been postponed. 
• All Fun-Day and Shopping Bus trips are suspended until further notice. 
• The ADRC transportation to Aging Advocacy Day on May 12th has been canceled. 
• Welcome to Medicare presentation scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 has been canceled.
