MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

 

We provide individual, couple, and family therapy for Sauk County residents of all ages.  This includes:

· Crisis Intervention/Follow-up and Linkage
· Mental Health Counseling
· Couple and Family Therapy
· Services for Children and Adolescents
· Psychiatric Evaluation and Treatment
· Psychological Testing
· Group Therapy
· Consultation and Case Management

 

SUBSTANCE USE SERVICES

 

We provide adult and adolescent counseling and support  services to residents of Sauk County who have alcohol and/or other drug abuse problems.  Services include:

· Substance Use Prevention Education
· Substance Use Assessments
· Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)
· Individual and Family Counseling
· Inpatient Placement/Referrals
· Intoxicated Driver Treatment
· Group Therapy
· Consultation and Case Management

 

INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT TREATMENT PROGRAM (IOP)
 

Sauk County IOP follows the Matrix Model.  The program is 16 weeks in length before consumers are transitioned to outpatient services with encouraged weekly aftercare group attendance. IOP is 9 hours per week of treatment (3 days a week).  Everyone is required to attend 2 recovery support groups in the community per week.  Our IOP schedule is Monday 12:30-4, Wednesday 12:30-2, and Thursday 12:30-4 and one hour a week of individual psychotherapy. IOP consists of relapse prevention skill building, early recovery skill building, family education and support, life skill building, and individual psychotherapy.

To make a referral to Sauk County Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP), contact our main number 608-355-4200 and request to speak with an intake worker.  An ASAM (Level of Care assessment) is required prior to entering IOP.

VISION STATEMENT

 

With the assistance of our community partners, a coordinated network of trauma informed, comprehensive human services will be available as needed, and easily accessed by county residents.
 

FEES AND LOCATION

 

Services for Mental Health and Substance Use may be paid through private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), or self-pay.  Fees for Sauk County residents will be based on their ability to pay, per household size and income, not including household assets.  There is no minimum fee for services.  No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay.  Specific information about the Sliding Fee Scale and discounts for those who are uninsured or underinsured, is available in the Billing Office at the main Human Services office in Baraboo.

Agency services are available in Sauk County in the main office at 505 Broadway, Fourth Floor, Baraboo, and in our branch office at 425 Sixth Street, Reedsburg.  These services may be accessed by calling (608) 355-4200 and asking for the Mental Health Access Unit.  

At the initial 1 to 1-1/2 hour intake session, a determination will be made regarding the services    available to meet the individual and family needs.  All consumers who request to see our psychiatrists will be required to see a psychotherapist first.

 

EMERGENCY SERVICES
 

Sauk County maintains a 24-hour Crisis Line after office hours, weekends, and holidays for crisis intervention.

The Crisis Line number is 1-800-533-5692.  The staff is well trained in crisis intervention and is supported by on-call professionals.
