Sauk County Wheat Week Education Program

Sauk County Land Resources and Environment offers "Wheat Week," a series of FREE Conservation Education Lessons for 4th and 5th-grade classrooms in Sauk County!

Any school can request Wheat Week. Teachers are asked to plan together so that each day, all or several classrooms can receive the daily lesson. We are able to teach a max of 5 classrooms per day.

Wheat Week is a series of five lessons, delivered over the course of one week, educating students about water, soil, energy, systems, and wheat, as well as how these things impact our daily lives. These lessons are mostly aligned with Next Generation Science Standards for 4th and 5th grade students. Each lesson is approximately 1 hour, and all supplies are provided.

Dates for the 2024-2025 are available! Sign up for a week online via Eventbrite
