Arts & Culture Grants Hope to Inspire

Starry Prairie is located downtown Prairie du Sac. Sauk County Arts & Culture grants support projects like public murals.

The Sauk County Arts & Culture Committee are looking to support projects that want to create and share messages of hope, solidarity, and well wishes for their communities. We want to support local artists and organizations to safely create and share messages of hope within their communities—a much-needed act of unity in the face of the current economic and health crises.

The Sauk County Arts & Culture Committee has mini-grants up to $500 available.  The Arts & Culture Committee are committed to supporting artists during this difficult time.  Good Idea mini-grants are a great opportunity to help your communities right now.  We believe and have seen that during this time, artists can make a difference.

Applications can be found at https://www.co.sauk.wi.us/artsandculture/good-idea-mini-grant and are due on the 21st of the month.  Grants will be awarded on the first Wednesday of the month.  Please contact Haley at haley.weisert@saukcountywi.gov for any questions about the grant program.

We are also offering larger Arts, Humanities & Historic Preservation grants up to $5000 at this time. The Arts, Humanities, and Historic Preservation (AHHP) grants are designed to expand the presence of the arts, humanities and historic preservation throughout Sauk County.  Grants provide supplemental funding for a variety of projects including festivals, community events, lectures, tours, digital projects, community conversations, film projects, exhibitions and more.  The AHHP Grants are larger grants that support non-profit organizations and government entities up to $5,000 and require matching funds.

Completed Arts, Humanities, and Historic Preservation grant applications are due to the Extension Sauk County Office, Attn: Arts & Culture Grant Committee, 505 Broadway, Baraboo, WI by 4:30 p.m. on  June 12, 2020.  Good Idea Grant applications are due to the Extension Sauk County office by the 21st of each month until all funds are used.

We look forward to seeing your ideas.
