Cancer Clear & Simple

The UW Carbone Cancer Center’s Cancer Health Disparities Initiative (CHDI) announces the availability of Cancer Clear & Simple materials. All materials were adapted from evidence-based materials and use health literacy principles. They are designed to empower individuals and communities to understand, use and act upon cancer-related health information. 

Cancer Clear & Simple includes a curriculum, Train-the-Trainer Manual and educational handouts.  All Cancer Clear & Simple materials incorporate health literacy principles and are designed to build knowledge and improve health-related decision-making. 

Cancer Clear & Simple was originally developed for use in rural communities. Cancer Clear & Simple has also been adapted for use with other populations and is currently available for both rural and African American populations.
