Historical Information (2020-2021 School Year):

11/6/2020: Sauk County School Data Update

In July, SCPH and the School Districts in Sauk County worked together to develop School Capacity Metrics to inform school decision-making. The metrics originally developed provided county-wide COVID information, with the intent that it would be used, in combination with other factors, to inform school decision-making. While this county-wide data is a piece of the puzzle, these metrics did not incorporate individual school and district information.

In October, SCPH and the School Districts met to fill this gap in school and district-level data. Together we've developed a School Data Tracking Tool for the schools to use. This tool tracks Staff and Students out with COVID-like Illness and Staff and Students out on Quarantine. This information is regularly shared with SCPH, so that SCPH can work with school staff to provide recommendations and mitigation plans specific to that school and district.

Moving forward, the Sauk County-wide School Capacity Data Report will no longer be released. The county-wide information that was included in the School Capacity Report will still be provided in the Sauk County Status Report, which is updated every Thursday on the Sauk County Data Hub.

SCPH School COVID-19 Protocol (Updated version added 10/12/2020)

This protocol was created in partnership between SCPH, district administrators, and school nurses. It will evolve over time with experience and new evidence-based best practices and guidance. SCPH is committed to partnering with district administrators and all appropriate staff to adjust protocol as necessary. Click here to view a printable pdf of the protocol.
