Public Health Sauk County Reminds Community Members to Connect with Others this Holiday Season

Sauk County, Wis- The holidays can be a warm and enjoyable time for some, but for others, it can be lonely and stressful. Money problems, grief, loss, and other hardships that are brought on by the holidays can all take a toll on your mental health.

If you or a loved one are struggling this holiday season, please know you are not alone. Remember to reach out to those around you, including loved ones, friends, and neighbors. It is also important to take time for yourself and recognize how you are feeling during this time of year.

“I think one thing we often forget is that sometimes those who seem the happiest may be the ones who struggle the most,” says Jodie Molitor, Prevent Suicide Sauk County Coalition Facilitator and Health Educator. “Remember to check in on friends and family and show them you care by being there and listening.”
